As the first post for this blog, I want to lay the framework for this blog going forward.  As the description at the top of the blog states, this site will be a source for investors to find co's that are investing in water or have hidden water assets.   In addition, interesting books and articles will be posted, followed by quick comments or critiques on them.  I am contemplating setting up a water index, with January 1, 2009 being the baseline for the index.  The only decent water ETF I know of is PHO.  Unfortunately, if you look at the underlying co's, the water component of these giant co's like GE make up a fraction of their overall business and is really a poor attempt at getting exposure to water investments.  I'm not looking to discuss generic water utilities; that can be done by anyone.  I'm going to try to look for more obscure co's (well maybe not so obscure to many).
